Enough censorship!!

I don't know if any of you ever watched Lewis Black the political comedian, but at times, poor Lewis appears to be on the verge of exploding and has to calm down before he loses a lung ranting about things that he shouldn't have to even be frustrated with because they are so stupid. Picture me as Lewis Black about to scream profanities as I rail at things that don't make sense.
Censorship.
Lately several authors of gay romance novels have had their accounts monitored, censored and deleted by Facebook. Only because of MALE pictures. I have been on this tirade before. I stomp my feet and ball up my fists because of the inequity of ratio of male to female nudity in the media. A straight female must look for her amusement on gay websites because, god-forbid the precious male penis makes a cameo appearance anywhere else.
I thought censorship had died with free speech and civil rights. Wrong, Hauser. Not going to happen.
Some things offend even the most liberal of minds. I'm not talking about that. But when simply showing a male derriere is considered 'obscene'? How far have we come? Who thinks men naked is offensive? Male bodies are a thing of intense beauty. Just ask the Greeks, Romans, and how about Michelangelo for that matter.
I suppose we are used to female bodies being objectified, Lord knows we see it often enough. Full frontal female nudity has become so common, obviously it's not noticed by the censor-thumpers. Perhaps they should nix the double standard.
Beautiful men will not go away simply because you are not one of them.
Gorgeous male physiques will not become unappealing simply because you are afraid of them.
Women and gay men will not stop looking at pictures of pretty boys, simply because you disapprove.
What censorship on Facebook, Myspace, and any place else that claims to be a 'public' forum, will only make people dislike their sites.
Again, I am not talking truly offensive posts here. After all, Facebook allows hate groups of all kinds to linger, antisemitism, homophobes...who knows what else? I don't go to those sites because the don't interest me. Perhaps the people who do not like pretty naked men should just stop looking for them 'intentionally' just so they can hit the 'report' button and annoy a hard working author.
Nothing is sacred, not book covers, naked torsos of men, nothing. It seems someone thinks all this can be wiped out with a single mouse click.
I have news for whoever thinks they can 'clean up' the web. You can't. All you do is waste everyone's time. We love men. We will continue to admire male bodies the way the female body has been ogled on the net since its inception.

For those of us who admire male beauty, take heart. Just because a few ignorant bastards cannot handle being compared to utter perfection, we will continue to view our lovely men whether they like it or not.

In other words, GET A LIFE!!

Be safe out there.
