The Sound of Music- continued

The Making of CAPITAL GAMES THE MOVIE part 11

Trying to get music from the record companies was slightly south of oral surgery. Though most were completely awesome and open minded to my genre of film, one was not. I don't want to mention which one...cough- starts with a U- but they had an issue with the rating....rating? There are no ratings for films in festival or DVDs. But their threat of not allowing their music for an NC-17, was enough to put me off THEM! Adult content? Of course there is adult content. It's a gay romance. And they swear! ooohhhh, heavens no!

Yet we know when a door closes a window opens.
Original music.
Yup. Guess what boys and girls, your writer, EP, chief cook and bottle-washer, has become a music lyricist. I have penned two original songs for my film. Isn't it hard to believe writing and creating my own work would be easier than dragging song rights from big mega music corporations?

Again Karma has smiled on me. She gave me an Emmy award winning editor, who has a brother....well, to say the least, this man has more musical talent in his pinky finger than anyone I have met via phone in the music industry's biased decision making process.

Not only has he used my lyrics which make the scenes make sense, he created songs throughout the production that give my film a completely unique original music score.

Studio Lg Produçoes...

They are as thrilled to be contributing to this film as I am to have the talent they are providing.

Original music, sung and played beautifully, and two songs written by yours truly.

I'm sorry, people, it doesn't get any better than this.

I hope when you all see the finished product you are as impressed with the music from Studio Lg Produçoes as I am.

When will you see it done, you ask?
Still in edits, hoping to lock it down by December, and then? Hopefully our first international film festival by spring.

The trailer with one of the original songs will be made next week- but with the coming holidays, things do tend to slow. But you know the minute I have it, I will post it for all of you.

Be safe out there.
