Where's ours?
Once more I have been asked why. Why do I write gay erotica?
I'm going to divert for a moment.
Lately, no, let me clarify, all my f'in life, I have loved the male body. Sorry. Just do.
I used to be a fan of men's water polo...but, when I watch it now, in 2017? Guess what??? They no longer show under the water. Why? Why don't they? That was the best part.
Men's wrestling? Just watched a match on cable sports. Guess what? They're trying their damnedest to not show the men from the waist down, not show it in so far as now they have managed to suspend the cameras so I feel as if I am watching an aerial view. WHAT?? Come on!!
Keep going?
Men's vs women's sports attire. Men? Long-johns, long pants, long shirts, loose, baggy. Women? Thongs, bras. You know what I'm talking about. Think Olympic volleyball, or gymnastics. For crying out loud, the male swimmers were shown from the naval up on camera. Heaven forbid we see a bulge.
They had no choice in diving, thank f'.
BUT-
WHAT THE???
Sure, whatever.
Oh, here we go. Miss Universe. Really??? Where's ours? No, not the muscle bound stuff. Where's OURS? I want to see fabulous men from all over the world in swimsuits, in suits and ties, GOOD LOOKING MEN. Where's ours?
How about ladies underwear? Do I need to go there too? Victoria Secret. Where's Ours!!! We get a cartoon man?
You get the swimsuit issue. Where's OURS!
Okay, breathe. I thought it was bad in the 80s, the 90s, no, it's worse now. GOD forbid you show a bulge! Wrestling?? the last bastion of man on man straight fun? Nope. No bulges. They reach for it and the camera pans away so quickly I get dizzy.
Why do straight women go to the gay world for sexual stimulation? For men, you silly ducks. Men! Only in the gay arena do we get to see gorgeous men. Not on TV, or rarely....not in the movies, or rarely. When a pretty man actually shows up, there's such a fuss we go insane.
I watched a doc on the Beatles. Saw the hysteria. I have a theory. Sex starved young women. For once, handsome men who sing and are adorable, were on TV, there for them to ogle. Maybe that was some of the reason why they kept screaming. They were in heat. Suppressed from no sign of a hottie male.
Sigh. I hoped in my lifetime I'd see some men in the media I could go...Wow! over. And I do. On Facebook? My daily male? A few of us post gorgeous hunks. We have to. They don't get any other exposure. If I could, I'd start our own male beauty pageant for US. For women.
WHERE'S OURS?
I suppose it's in our minds, our gay fantasy, our pins or posts. Sadly, that's all we have. Straight women who want to look at adorable men. I suppose we may have to march- to protest. Kidding.
So, stop asking why I write this stuff. I write it because I'm going through handsome man withdrawals.
Be safe out there, the world is a mess.

A gag in my mouth- placed on MUTE
It's been a while since I've blogged. There's a reason for that.
While I have an opinion - which, yes, are like assholes, since everyone has one, I have chosen to bite my tongue. I am aware in this polarized country that you cannot please everyone.
No doubt, some of the novels I wrote with frustration about life, have turned some off. That's okay. It has to be. Writer, artists, and musicians, however, owe it to society to speak. To not be mute. I've allowed my characters some leeway, but rarely myself.
Many of us have several social media accounts ranging from a handful to a dozen, in which we try to promote our work, engage fans, sell, make a living...
So perhaps some of us outspoken critics of - well- everything- have tried before and been shut down.
The new trolling/feeding frenzy has put more than just myself off of letting go of steam. Last night on an HBO show I watch with regularity, the host talked about how some individuals are being silenced. Not by the media, not by authoritarianism, but by swarming comments, which are like angry wasps. It's just not worth the aggro.
If you so much as side with one opinion or the other, sure enough, you will be roasted on a spit.
It's happened to so many, so often, it makes me cringe.
So? I shut up. I know for a fact, I'm not the only one.
Perhaps I once did. Maybe I spouted BS and tried to make my mindset known. No longer- or should I say rarely, since I do perk up to some posts. If you want to know me well, read my work. That's me. All over.
Particularly Mark in my Action! Series. In those books I can vent, I can be slightly more at ease to say what I think, through Mark as my filter.
It has come to this. Many of us have been gagged. If one day, I no longer rely on book sales to pay my bills, and I no longer care about, well- anything, then there is a likely chance I will speak what I think. But, not until then.
Gone are the days of putting carefree thoughts in a public forum, gone are the days of gentle discourse, gone are the days of calm discussion. Whether the conflict is real, from actual people, or bots or trolls, it's an issue many of us think about before we make a comment. I've gone so far as to type it, and say, nope. And delete it.
Opinions, like assholes, either stink or can be kind of nice. Lately, in a world full of anger and division, we are more likely to stay silent for fear of that nasty hole.
And I have become silent- in public on social media. If you want my opinion, ask- though I don't see the point. Anyone who knows me, already knows exactly what I think. No surprises there. What is horrible for many of us? We've had our tongues forcibly removed.
We're on mute.
Welcome to our future.
I hope it becomes our past.
Be careful out there, it's a scary friggin world.
If you want to know what I really think, get ready for my upcoming release, LOVING STAN coming at the end of November.

Enough!
I don't know about any of you, but I'm exhausted. Do I want to write a blog about politics? No! But, come on, people! WTF is going on?
Hey! I lived through the 60s and 70s. I'm not a stranger to social uprising. I remember it well- the shooting at Kent State, Watergate...civil rights marches...we've seen a lot over the decades.
But, nothing like this.
Hey, let's play a 'drinking game'. Every time a newscaster says the word 'unprecedented' take a drink. Know what? You'll be drunk every night. EVERY FRIGGIN NIGHT.
I remember every election since Humphrey v. Nixon. (Shut up, I'm old) So, I've been around enough to know, something is wrong. We all know it. Of course, we're waiting for the republican congress to figure it out, they can't keep ignoring this mess. Can they?
Everything from selecting the worst candidates for cabinet positions, to not filling jobs, to firing, and forcing resignations. We are a nation in collapse. Thank you, Russia. Their attack has done so much to us, they may as well have dropped a bomb.
I read the posts on social media, and of course, watch the news. We are all losing sleep, sick to our stomachs, and nervous wrecks. As the powers that be toy with our lives, our healthcare, our rights, and push an unpopular agenda on us, how do we cope?
When I have a new release coming out, I get slapped with headlines so dramatic, it makes me wonder why I am writing at all. Nothing seems as important as getting out of this nightmare.
We are vulnerable at this moment to everything from being attacked, as we were by Russia, to imploding into civil war. Our country has become a nation in conflict and upheaval. We have everything to show for this battle but the burned out cities and crumbling sky-scrapers.
My peers, my author friends, my poet friends, we are all struggling to keep writing. Do we write how we feel? Do we become a voice? I tried that with SHOWBOYS
https://www.amazon.com/Showboys-G-Hauser-ebook/dp/B06XB8ZS31
But, I was blasted for being political. I also ranted in one of my Action! books. Again, it was mixed as to the reaction of readers.
I understand we need fiction to get out of our heads, to find a place to escape. But, maybe we are also responsible for voicing our thoughts. Look, I write gay erotica. It's pretty obvious where I stand politically.
Is it wrong to fight for human rights? Is it wrong to voice objections to a government that's gone off the rails? Is it wrong to fight for healthcare? I'm in line to lose my coverage. Do you think that helps me sleep at night?
Hopefully with time, we will recover as a nation, as a country with values that aren't based on one sect's religious beliefs, but the way our forefathers intended. We are a melting pot of courage, love and freedom. Or at least, we were.
I may be an old fuck, but I am ready to fight like I did in the 70s.
I don't advocate violence. The cop in me won't have it. But, wake up. Do what's right. Never give in. Never give up.
We lived through the 60s and survived. We Will Win.
Be safe out there. It's dangerous as fuck.

An interview with Mark Antonious Richfield
Hello,
All! With Mark’s new book coming out, I decided it was a great time to have him
back on my blog.
We are
sitting in Mark’s home in Bel Air, on a glorious Southern California afternoon
in April. Mark is wearing black slacks
and a black short-sleeved cotton shirt. He is seated beside me on a sectional
sofa in his living room.
Me:
You look spectacular as usual.
Mark:
Thank you, Ms Hauser.
Me:
(Inhaling) Love your cologne. Is that the new Red?
Mark:
It is indeed.
Me:
Mmmm…
Mark:
Were you going to ask me questions, or sniff?
Me:
Sorry. Okay. Well! Book 23 of the Action! Series?
Mark:
You do realize you’re completely mad. Does anyone really need to hear about my
bloody life?
Me:
Yes. (I look down at my pad) So, what do we have to look forward to this time?
Mark:
(brushes his hand through his glorious mane) More chaos. My life is a never-ending story of
debauchery and lust.
Me:
Love. You mean love.
Mark:
Perhaps. (smiles)
Me:
Any teasers as to what this book is about?
Mark:
I know you want the details of my life. I suggest you get one of your own.
Me:
Get one? Get the book?
Mark:
No, love. Get a life.
Me:
(blushes) Anyway, how is your son, Alexander?
Mark:
He’s fabulous. I couldn’t be more proud.
Me:
He’s come a long way. He used to be such a handful.
Mark:
It’s my wish that he outshine me in every way.
Me:
You’re a great dad.
Mark:
Ms Hauser?
Me:
Yes?
Mark:
Can you remove your hand from my thigh?
Me:
Sorry! (fans self) Where was I?
Mark:
You were talking about Alexander.
Me:
Right. Did it get really hot in here?
Mark
(to his husband): Steven? Can you turn up the A/C?
Steve
(from out of the room): It’s already at 70.
Me:
Never mind. (clears throat, checks pad) Back to the new book. This one is
called Mark Antonious Richfield, but it has some of our old friends in it,
correct?
Mark:
A few. Sadly, it is focused on me. You should know better. Needless to say, it
will include Steven, the chief—
Me:
Mmm. The chief.
Mark:
(smiling wickedly) Another Billy Sharpe fan? My, he’s certainly got his hands
full.
Me:
Damn. He’s hot.
Mark:
He is.
Me: (leans
close to whisper) Do you make love to him again?
Mark:
You do realize that’s a personal question.
Me:
I’d be the meat in your sandwich any day.
Mark:
Behave, young lady.
Me:
Never.
Mark:
Good.
Me:
Can we have a sample of the book and know when it’s coming out?
Mark:
Absolutely. And it shall be out hopefully next weekend.
Me: I
think this book will please your fans. They love you.
Mark:
And I love them too.
Me:
Can I kiss you?
Mark:
(points to his cheek as he smiles)
Me:
Mmm.
Mark:
(chuckling) Not much of an interview, Ms Hauser.
Me:
Meh. I’m a writer, not a TV host.
Mark:
I’ll keep your secret.
Me:
Thanks, as usual, for taking the time out from your hectic life to chat with
me. Good luck on the next book in the series.
Mark:
I should be saying that to you.
Me:
Oh! Ha.
Mark:
I just want to say a big thank you to all of the fans out there, who simply
can’t let me go. I’ll be here for you as long as I am able to be.
Me: I
think they’ll be happy to hear that. Thanks again.

Mark
Antonious Richfield: Book 23 in the Action! Series
Book
Summary:
Mark Antonious. The anchor, the
star, and the center of the Action! Series universe.
What happens when Mark leaves for
a Dangereux Cologne company’s
convention tour?
As Alexander, Mark’s son, begins
a new feature film in Oregon, Billy, Steve, Jack, Adam, and now Tadzio, the
newest planet to begin to orbit Mark, are left without father and son.
What occurs next isn’t what you’d
expect.
As the men in Mark’s world find
out just how life would be in his absence, it becomes clear to all that the
Nation’s Top Male Model is the powerhouse everyone clings to, including the
former LAPD cop, Steve Miller, and Alexander’s husband, Chief of Police Billy
Sharpe.
You don’t know what you
have…until you lose it.
With the weight of the world on
his shoulders, and regrets looming, Mark’s loyalties are clear.
The last thing you want is Mark
as your enemy.
Mark Antonious Richfield; much
more than just a pretty face.
---------------------------
Sample
Chapter:
Top model, Mark
Antonious Richfield, stared into the lens of a camera.
Wearing leather pants and boots,
Mark posed next to a high-powered Italian superbike for his Dangereux Red cologne campaign. Their
backdrop was the Pacific Ocean, along Coastal Highway 1 in California.
The ads were for summer, but it
was March, and the cold wind whipped his long hair around his face. Because of
it, shields had been erected to keep the breeze back.
For nearly a decade, Mark had
reigned as the top male model internationally, and had even been selected the
‘World’s Most Beautiful Man’ by a celebrity magazine.
After a full day of shooting, he
finally heard, “It’s a wrap. Thank you, Mark.”
Mark rubbed his upper arms,
freezing cold. His husband, Steve Miller, approached Mark with his jacket.
“Thank you, love.” Mark put the
matching leather jacket on, one he had worn for the commercial advertising
campaign while riding the Ducati; all black but for the logo on the chest,
which was in red.
“Are they done?” Steve asked,
looking out at the view.
“Yes.” Mark zipped the jacket
since he wasn’t wearing a shirt at the moment, and put on his sunglasses.
Steve placed his arm around Mark
and walked to where they had parked Steve’s Mercedes. Mark dropped down on the
passenger’s seat, took his phone from the dashboard, and turned it on.
“Are you hungry?” Steve asked as
he started the car.
“Not really.” Mark read his
missed text messages. “Alexander’s premier is tonight and I’m shattered.”
“I know, but we have to go.”
Steve drove back to their home in Bel Air. It was Saturday and the traffic was
light at the moment.
Mark stared at the road ahead,
thinking about sitting through yet another movie where his son starred as the
gay love interest for the Hollywood elite.
“I should stop on the way home
and pick something up for dinner.”
Mark sank lower in the seat. “I
would have preferred driving myself. I’m in leather, Steven.”
“You can wait in the car.”
“I don’t know why you insisted on
coming. I never have issues with the Dangereux
crew.” Mark ran his fingers over his hair as he thought about his modeling
shoot at the luxury car manufacturer. He did indeed need a bodyguard for that
one. The CEO had sexually assaulted him during his last session. Luckily for
Mark, Drew Persley had been forced to sign a contract/restraining order stating
he would no longer be allowed within 100 feet of Mark.
Mark’s phone hummed with a text.
He raised his sunglasses up to read it.
‘What are you and Steve doing for dinner?’
“Alexander is enquiring about our
plans for this evening.” Mark glanced up at the exit ramp Steve had taken and
knew he was indeed going to stop for food.
“Tell him I’m picking something
up.” Steve slowed for a traffic signal.
Mark texted his son, ‘Steven and I are out now. He’s stopping off
to buy food.’
‘I thought we’d go out for dinner and then head to the premier.’
Mark sighed tiredly as Steve
pulled into the lot of a grocery store. ‘Then
you tell him yourself. I’m too tired to argue.’ Mark propped his boot up on
the dashboard.
“Hey!” Steve batted it down.
“Would you let me do that in your car?”
“These boots are brand new,
Steven. I haven’t worn them before today.”
Steve parked and Mark heard
Steve’s phone chime with a text as he got out of the car. He assumed his son
was sending it.
“I’ll be back.”
Mark closed his eyes and tried to
rest.
While Steve was gone, Mark
noticed the key in the ignition. He turned it so he could listen to music while
he waited. Sitting up, scanning through Steve’s satellite stations, Mark
spotted a blonde woman with two young children, pushing a cart to a minivan. He
focused back on the music and then did a double-take. “Oh, good Lord!” He
recognized the woman, took the ignition key, and got out of the car.
Mark jogged between rows of
parked cars and startled the woman as she hefted shopping bags into the back of
her van.
“Sharon,” Mark said.

Battling Bots
Battling Bots and paid trolls.
Welcome to 2017 social network. I can't believe I'm going to say this but....'In my day'... don't you hate old people?
No, really, in my day, this was battling bots.
Yeah, I know. I'm old.
But, now, things have gotten more complicated. What hasn't? But what I find fascinating is now on social media, we aren't simply being raided by a few 'human' (and I use the term loosely) trolls. They have been found to be paid trolls from Albania and the Ukraine. No, I am not kidding. Not only that- there are BOTS.
Bots...think about it.
AI computers who send out inflammatory tweets and comments. Let that sink in.
You are arguing with a computer that has no feelings.
A bot.
So, there you go, writing an opinion online, only to be swarmed by hornets. In reality? They are cyber-wasps.
It was daunting enough having bored competitors chomp on your heels. Now? It's virtually impossible to know what is doing what to whom.
I suppose after writing for so long, I may have become a little used to the trolls tearing me down for everything from too much sex in my novels to being politically vocal. I was born an activist. I came into the world screaming, and no doubt will leave it the same way.
I imagine in my head, a troll, tapping keys on a computer with intentions of slandering, or at least, derailing new releases. Something like this.
But, that may not be true. The little annoying critters most likely are more like this.
Aww...so adorable. Nope. Lethal.
These little 'bots' are infiltrating our daily lives without most of us realizing it. While you argue online with an inanimate object, you will no doubt, lose your mind. How do you win a war against the machine?
I am no computer whiz. I certainly can't create artificial intelligence. All I have to offer is real intelligence. And now, in this wonderful 2017 life, I am slapping at the air, chasing fake gnats.
So? Let's move on, shall we?
We all have opinions. We deserve them. Why not? But now you're defending yourself against nothing.
Battling Bots. Know when to stop railing at the cyber-foes. Oh, and one more thing...there are so many things to be truly angry at, how about we treat each other with kindness? Humor me. I'm old.
Be safe.
